Seviper and Zangoose - Pokemon

When we first decided to do Pokemon gijinkas and Skunx told me he'd like to be Seviper, Zangoose seemed like the best option for me and these ideas were born.

Seviper: is based on a fanart design by www2s.biglobe.ne.jp/~kurichan/

With that being said, Seviper's robe was made from black cotton sateen and lined with purple kona cotton. It was made using the same pattern I used for Kallen but with modifications to the sleeves and size to fit. The appliques were made using heat-n-bond and satin stitched to keep from peeling up. The sash is made from two colours of kona cotton. Design around the colour was also satin stitched on. Gloves are formerly Kankuro gloves, with added studs. I also made the purple and black bracelets! Sword is a base purchased from Amazon and modified/painted to fit the character. Here he is also using his natural hair with a small purple clip in.

Zangoose: Is made from the same pattern I used for Kallen but with some modifications for the sleeves. The fabrics used here were white cotton sateen and red kona cotton, lined with a white printed fabric that I can't seem to remember the name for! Sash was made from a leftover black bottomweight fabric I had with red kona cotton appliques, satin stitched. I didn't really need to satin stitch them but these cosplays definitely taught me a lot of patience and practice in satin stitching in general! Sword is the same as Skunx's, a purchased base and modified. The wig is a silver magnum long from Arda-Wigs cut and styled, along with a silver curly clip and red wefts in apple red, sewn in and cut to the style.

These were really wonderful cosplays to make and wear and I was pleasantly surprised that several people recognized us as Pokemon and complimented us on the idea we chose/ronin/samurai theme.
